Meet Dr. Vesely DPM, MPH

A Virginia Beach native, Dr. Bryanna Vesely is proud to return home as the founder and owner of Seaside Foot & Ankle, where she is dedicated to providing advanced, personalized foot and ankle care to the community she calls home.
Â
Dr. Vesely provides both nonsurgical and surgical care, offering advanced treatment options that range from regenerative medicine to minimally invasive procedures and complex reconstruction. She believes that every patient is unique and that treatment should be tailored to the individual—not a one-size-fits-all approach. Her goal is to understand each patient's lifestyle, activity level, concerns, and goals to develop an individualized treatment plan focused on getting them back to the activities they love.
Â
Before deciding to start her own practice, Dr. Vesely worked at an orthopedic group performing a wide range of surgeries from bunions to ankle replacements. When surgery is necessary, Dr. Vesely offers advanced, evidence-based surgical techniques with a particular focus on minimally invasive surgery, sports medicine, total ankle replacement, and complex foot and ankle reconstruction. A cutting-edge foot and ankle surgeon, Dr. Vesely has been invited to participate on expert panels discussing minimally invasive foot and ankle surgery and is committed to bringing innovative surgical techniques to the Virginia Beach community. She was the first surgeon to perform minimally invasive insertional Achilles tendon surgery on the Virginia Peninsula and the first surgeon to perform a total ankle replacement at Coastal Virginia Surgery Center.
Â
Dr. Vesely completed an orthopedic foot and ankle surgical fellowship at Desert Orthopaedic Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, following her podiatric surgical residency at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, a Level I trauma center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Her extensive training has prepared her to treat a wide range of foot and ankle conditions, including complex injuries and deformities, using the latest surgical techniques and technology. During her fellowship, Dr. Vesely served as a team physician for the Las Vegas Raiders (NFL), Las Vegas Aces (WNBA), UFC fighters, and Cirque du Soleil performers, gaining experience treating high-level athletes and performers with demanding return-to-activity goals.Â
In her free time, Dr. Vesely enjoys staying active, spending time at the beach, and exploring local coffee shops with her husband, Ryan, and their dog, Crouton. She also loves cheering on the Hokies and watching Raiders football, often joined by their cat, Nub, who is always happy to be part of the game-day crew.

Before becoming a physician, Dr. Vesely was a ballet dancer and dance teacher, giving her a unique perspective on the relationship between movement, performance, and foot and ankle health.
Â
As @thedancingfootdoc on TikTok, she shares educational information about foot and ankle conditions from both a physician's perspective and as someone who understands firsthand the physical demands placed on dancers and athletes.
